Vera Paola Shoda

Biography
Prior to her enrollment at Doshisha Business School in 2024, Dr. Shoda served as an Assistant Professor at Kobe University in the Research Institute for Economics and Business, as well as the Center for Computational Social Science, starting in 2021. Leveraging her expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Dr. Shoda delves into data science research from both a social science and engineering perspective. Notable recent works include: "Governors in the Digital Era: Analysis and Prediction of Social Media Engagement Using Machine Learning During the COVID-19 Pandemic in Japan" Informatics, (with S. Salama and T. Kamihigashi) forthcoming.
