Biography
Professor Iqball brings to his role as a Professor of Strategic Management at Doshisha University's Graduate School of Business a wealth of global leadership experience and expertise in financial management. With over 25 years in senior positions across a variety of industries and functions, he has held significant roles such as Global Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Senior Vice President at Benesse Holdings, along with key positions at Ford, Delphi, Avon, Becton Dickinson, and McCann Worldgroup.His experience includes serving on the boards of more than 15 companies in Japan, China, and the United States, offering him a vast understanding of board dynamics and deep insights into Asian markets, all within a global context.Additionally, as an Executive Coach, he has guided senior leaders and high-potential talents in both for-profit and non-profit sectors, focusing on nurturing purpose-driven leadership and high-performance leadership teams.Professor Iqball holds an MBA in International Business and a Master's in Asian/Japanese Studies from the University of Michigan, as well as a Master's in Manufacturing Engineering from Northwestern University. He is also an alumnus of the Executive Development Program at the Wharton School of Business.At Doshisha University, Professor Iqball aims to apply his broad industry experience and coaching skills to develop the next generation of global business leaders, combining practical knowledge with strategic insight in a world that is ever more interconnected.
