Emeritus Professor, he is also Co-Director of the Management of Technology Program at the Haas School of Business in the University of California, Berkeley. He is Executive Director of the Leadership Excellence and Advancement Program (LEAP), a joint program between the Management of Technology Program (MOT) and the e-TQM College in Dubai, UAE. Previously he was professor of Sociology at the University of Michigan. He is also on the Board of Directors for the American Productivity and Quality Council. From 1993 to 1999 he was Principal Investigator for the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) on the US-Japan Industry and Technology Management Training Program.
