An applied organizational psychologist, Philippe Byosiere, focuses in his teaching, research and consulting on the role of the individual in organizational contexts from an interdisciplinary and global comparative perspective. Prior to joining the Doshisha Business School as a founding member in 2003, he held various research and teaching positions at The University of Michigan and is a visiting research professor in the Automotive Analysis Division of the Transportation Research Institute in Ann Arbor. His publications have appeared in the Handbook of Organizational and Industrial Psychology, the Handbook of Organizational Learning and Knowledge and refereed journals as International Business Research, Project Management Journal, Journal of Knowledge Management, Women in Management Review among others. He held positions at Purdue University, Rutgers University and The University of Hawai'i in the United States, the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST) and Hitotsubashi University in Japan, and the Universite Catholique Louvain, and Complutense University of Madrid in Europe. He has led many short term interventions and presentations with both private and public institutions in U.S., Europe and Japan. He also serves as the Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Belgium in Kyoto.
