Dr. Marutschke is a Professor of Law and Director of the Doshisha University EU Research Center. He is also Director of the Japanese Law Research Institute at the University of Hagen. He looks at comparative legal research in civil law (contract law, property law) and constitutional law, as well as the process of legal integration in the EU.
