Career

Fred Robins is currently in charge of postgraduate programs in International Business at the University of Adelaide. Formerly, he was Associate Head (Research) of the Graduate School of Business. He is a Fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute and past member of the Board of the Euro-Asia Management Studies Association. He has higher degrees in economics and in marketing and has lived and worked in a range of European and East Asian countries as well as Australia. After university education in the United Kingdom and the United States he gained ten years experience in the public and private sector in international management. He currently teaches and carries out research in Adelaide, Aarhus, Singapore and Hong Kong. He is a regular contributor to the European Summer School for Advanced Management providing the segment on Asian Business. He publishes regularly in academic journals, mostly on international business topics, and is now researching global competitiveness.
