Career

He has been a physicist, since he joined NTT Basic Research Laboratory. He also served as a visiting scholar of University of Notre Dame, U.S.A. and as an invited scientist of IMRA Europe, France. Since he joined The 21st Century Public Policy Institute of Keidanren as an executive senior fellow, he has been investigating innovation and technology management. He is a life member of Clare Hall, The University of Cambridge, U.K. He also founded three venture companies, ArcZone K.K., Powdec K.K. and ALGAN K.K., and is now an executive member of the board for them.
