Rosalie L. Tung

Biography
Dr. Tung is currently Professor of International Business at Simon Fraser University in Canada. She obtained her Ph.D. in 1977 in Business Administration from the University of British Columbia. She was formerly a Wisconsin Distinguished Professor in Business Administration with the University of Wisconsin System. She also held the position of Director of the International Business Center at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She has previously served on the faculties of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, University of Oregon, and as a visiting professor at Harvard University, University of California-Los Angeles, the Institute of Science and Technology at the University of Manchester, the Copenhagen Business School, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Peking University, and China Europe International Business School in Shanghai. She has taught at the Foreign Investment Commission (now the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations) and she has served on the United Nations' Task Force on Human Resource Management. She is the winner of the 1998 Vancouver YWCA Woman of the Year Award in Management, the Professions and the Trades. She was elected to serve a five-year term beginning with the position of Vice President-elect of the Academy of Management in 2000-2001, then progressing to the positions of President in 2003-2004 and past President in 2004-2005. She was also elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, as a Fellow of the Academy of Management, and as a Fellow of the Academy of International Business.
